Renaissance Grand Ball Terrazza Mascagni

 
Saturday 13 May, the beautiful nineteenth-century checkerboard Terrace Mascagni in Livorno was dressed in beautiful colors. over 120 dancers Società di Danza from the numerous circles present throughout Italy e 40 students from the Liceo Cecioni specially prepared by the Company of Dance have created the Grand Ball Risorgimento. The event, organized on the occasion of the commemoration and celebration of the Moti Risorgimentali Livornesi 10-11 May 1849, When we remember the heroic resistance of the town from the siege of Austrian troops, was organized by the Circolo Livornese della Società di Danza in collaboration with the Livorno Committee for the promotion of the values of the Risorgimento and Municipality of Livorno.  This year there were some members of the Società di Danza from Bologna who had the pleasure to participate. The Grand Ball was preceded at hours 12.00 from a brief preview at Villa Mimbelli, Home of the Fattori Museum, in the wonderful Hall of Mirrors. The dancers, parading on the promenade along Viale Italia, they were welcomed by a large group of children from the Bartolena and Brin schools in Garibaldian costume, waving flags, they accompanied them to the Terrace. As usual, the evening continued with a good dinner and other pleasant dances in informal dress.
